Dearest Pickle

You were 20 months old last Thursday (A week ago, it is Thursday today) 20 months! No longer in your ‘teen’ months. That makes me a little sad – time goes by so quickly. But, obviously I am so happy that you are healthy, growing and a happy, gorgeous baby boy. Gosh I love you baby. My heart swells with my love for you. We ADORE you. You are SO funny. You started saying last Saturday ‘Oh no!’ if you saw something you thought was wrong! And last Friday was ‘Nope!’ when you answered! Last week, the cute little clicky clicky noise that you made when you saw a horsey has changed to you saying ‘shorsh’ SO cute!

Last Saturday you said Baa – then ‘sheep’ for your little Baa who you love so much. First time you have said ‘sheep!’

It has been boiling hot since Thursday, 20° + beautiful! We took you on the beach last Friday – South Beach, and you walked on the sand for the first time with no shoes on! Oz and MeeMee took you down to the sea, but they said it was cold on your little feet, and you weren’t keen! You are saying so much now, putting two and even three words together. And you are walking – properly walking, on your own, no hands held or anything! You started last week drinking from a big boys no spill sports bottle! You came completely off your formula last Monday – your first day on just Lactofree milk. Such a big week for you.

You cut your sixth tooth last week, Lea spotted it – it’s a big one on your upper left gum. And the Tuesday before that you finally cut your front right one!

I don’t know why I feel a little sad. I am so blessed to have you, I never dreamed I would have a fourth little precious so late, and I thank God every day that I have you. To bring up another baby, to experience it all again, to treasure every single moment with you is an absolute joy.

I look forward to our first holiday abroad together next week, lots of time to just be with you, and your brother and sisters. Lots of fun, sunshine, and laughter :)

Love you more than you will ever know baby boy
